The APONA Hamper is an incentive package of key birth associated components provided to expectant mothers in need to encourage facility-based safe and quality childbirth.

These items are required when a pregnant mom goes to deliver her baby.

  • Bucket and Baby Dish
  • 2-4 nappies
  • Big cotton wool for mom
  • Green bar soap
  • 2 cord clamps
  • 2 surgical blades
  • Since Covid, 10 disposable masks
  • 10 disposable gloves
  • 2 tetracycline tubes for baby's eyes
  • 1 bottle methylated spirit  2 baby hats
  • 2 pairs socks
  • 2 onesie for baby
  • 1 fleece set for baby
  • Baby clothes, these are mostly from donations from well wishers

If mom has passed away during labor, we add 2 baby bottles and 4 tins of starter
formula (Extra Cost of $30) bringing the total cost to USD $60.
