Distribution Of APONA Hampers
Recipients of the APONA Hampers are pregnant mothers in need, mostly referred to RHONAFLO by Clinics, Village Health Workers and Department of Social Services (DSS) after going through a need's assessment review. Most have been under the age of 18 years. Our youngest recipients have been 12 years old.
Hampers are a free incentive of necessary childbirth items provided to expectant mothers ONLY at rural health facility settings in Zimbabwe.
Some of the birthing hampers also contain baby bottles and Infant formula. These are reserved for when the mothers die during childbirth.
