The APONA Hamper is an incentive package of key birth associated components provided to expectant mothers in need to encourage facility-based safe and quality childbirth.
These items are required when a pregnant mom goes to deliver her baby.
- Bucket and Baby Dish
- 2-4 nappies
- Big cotton wool for mom
- Green bar soap
- 2 cord clamps
- 2 surgical blades
- Since Covid, 10 disposable masks
- 10 disposable gloves
- 2 tetracycline tubes for baby’s eyes
- 1 bottle methylated spirit 2 baby hats
- 2 pairs socks
- 2 onesie for baby
- 1 fleece set for baby
- Baby clothes, these are mostly from donations from well wishers
If mom has passed away during labor, we add 2 baby bottles and 4 tins of starter
formula (Extra Cost of $30) bringing the total cost to USD $60.
